چکیده
In this review article, we discuss advances in the chemistry of metal carbonyl clusters (MCCs) spanning last three decades, with an emphasis on more recent reports and those involving groups 8–10 elements.

Metal-Free Catalysis for Efficient Synthesis
The strength of efficient metal-free catalysis will be examined in this thesis. Efforts towards more sustainable processes will be demonstrated through implementation of strategies that meet several of the 12 principles of Green Chemistry. In the first part, a stereoselective total synthesis of multiple alkaloids from the Corynantheine and Ipecac families together with their nonnatural analogue...
متن کاملFundamental aspects of catalysis on supported metal clusters
In this review, we examine the role of oxide support defects, cluster size-dependence, cluster structural fluxionality, and impurity doping on the catalytic properties of size-selected metal clusters on surfaces. By combining experimental results from the oxidation of CO on sizeselected gold clusters with ab-initio calculations, a detailed picture emerges of the electronic and structural dynami...

15 صفحه اولTrinuclear Metal Clusters in Catalysis by Terpenoid Synthases.
Terpenoid synthases are ubiquitous enzymes that catalyze the formation of structurally and stereochemically diverse isoprenoid natural products. Many isoprenoid coupling enzymes and terpenoid cyclases from bacteria, fungi, protists, plants, and animals share the class I terpenoid synthase fold. Despite generally low amino acid sequence identity among these examples, class I terpenoid synthases ...
متن کاملUnsymmetrical octanuclear Schiff base clusters: synthesis, characterization and catalysis.
The synthesis and characterization of nonsymmetrical octanuclear Schiff base clusters derived from nonsymmetrical diamine precursors is reported. These cluster complexes, typically assemblies comprising of four bimetallic salphen units, are isolated as a mixture of geometrical isomers as a result of different relative positions of the peripheral groups present in the diamine connectors within e...
